JOSIE LANE

Daughter of CFA Member and PCI Flortech Vice-President Tom Sheridan

Emily Sheridan currently resides in Champaign Urbana. She is an experienced Teacher, Skilled in Life Skills, Teamwork, Teaching, Childcare, and Lesson Planning. Emily is a strong trained professional with a Bachelor’s Degree from University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. Emily’s love for children is directly displayed through all of her interactions with them. Her journey as a Life Skills teacher has just begun. We couldn’t be more proud of Emily for pursuing her dreams.

ALEX SHERIDAN

Son of CFA Member and PCI Flortech Vice-President Tom Sheridan

Alex Sheridan is currently employed as a failure investigator, analyzing components removed from gas turbine engines involved in failures. He has experience with an array of laboratory equipment, including optical photography, scanning electron microscope fractography and chemistry analysis, metallography, and specimen preparation. He collaborates with various other organizations in the company to deliver detailed technical reports documenting findings, and to assist in root cause analysis after the report is published.

GINA ORI LAMONICA

Daughter of 2000 CFA President John Ori

Gina Ori Lamonica was a recipient of the CFA scholarship program back in 1998. We are proud to announce her promotion to partner at Perkin Coie. Gina is a member of the firm's White Collar & investigations practice criminal matters, where she represents companies and individuals in a wide range of white collar criminal matters as well as complex securities and civil litigation.

 

Gina has counseled clients across a variety of industries in enforcement matters pending before the Department of Justice (DOJ), the Securities Exchange Commission (SEC), the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority(FINRA), the Commodities Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) and the Office of the Comptroller of Currency (OCC), and in various State Attorney General actions. She advises clients responding to allegations of financial fraud, accounting misstatements, securities fraud, insider trading , Foreign Corrupt Practices Act violations and government contract fraud.

 

Gina is regularly retained to conduct confidential internal investigations, both domestically and internationally, in matters relating to financial fraud, accounting irregularities, employee misconduct, anti-corruption compliance and whistleblower claims. She also counsels companies in the area of anti-corruption and FCPA compliance, bringing to bear her experience representing a joint DOJ and SEC-appointed corporate monitor for a multinational medical device manufacturer.

 

From 2013-2017, Gina has been named by Super Lawyers as a Rising Star in White Collar Criminal Defense, a distinction reserved for the top 2.5 percent of Illinois lawyers under 40.
